As a result of the Covid-19 Alert 4 lockdown in New Zealand we have suspended all delivery services inline with NZ Government requirements for the mandatory 4 weeks . Orders are welcome but will be dispatched once the lockdown has been lifted and freight can be dispatched as normal. Stay safe, be kind, Stay home!
And there it is folks, if you haven't already, GO HOME, STAY HOME!
While Ella and I can work in isolation in the North and South Island stores unless we receive another directive we will be holding over all orders received over the 4 week lock down and shipping them out once we reopen. We feel it is the right thing to do to keep our fabulous couriers a little safer and free to deliver essential services only.
We do sincerely appreciate ANY orders placed over the lock down as every little bit helps a small business stay afloat.
Follow our Facebook and Instagram pages where we will be posting funny memes, cool as product info like our current sale (watch this space) and checking in with our 19 Black team and what they are up to in their bubble!

Due to the current ever-changing environment, COVID-19 is set to have a significant impact on small business, and our family would greatly appreciate your continued support more than ever throughout this time. At the heart of our business we are one family, 3 generations of mothers and daughters committed to bringing beautiful fashion for our gorgeous clientele. We also employ wonderful local ladies from Timaru and Hamilton to assist you in our stores, though at least one family member is always on deck every single day of the week.
Yesterday, we lost three major end of season events due to cancellations or postponements that were due to be held over the next three consecutive weekends. This most definitely has an effect on our business. We work very hard and commit ourselves to our products, teams, and customers, and are still very dedicated in what is shaping up to be a very difficult season ahead.
We are following advice provided by the NZ Government and Ministry of Health; staff and customer health have always been of great importance to us, and due to the current environment, we have increased cleaning and disinfection in our stores especially in high-touch areas and our fitting rooms. Keeping our staff fit, healthy, and able to serve you in store, or pack your online orders to send them to your homes and protecting yourselves and ourselves is our ultimate aim.
Once again, we thank you for your support of our dreams, and encourage you to still choose to shop with us online if in store is not an option. We have some very special exclusive event stock that will now not be debuting at an event that we will be sharing online soon and have some exciting online ideas to brighten up the near future that we face together with uncertainty.
Stay safe and wash your hands x
Thank You and Kind Regards from all of the 19 Black Team;
Judy, Charlotte, Summer, Lyn, Annabel, Ella, April, Leanne, Shannon, Sophie, Emma-Jade, and CailynPosted: Saturday 21 March 2020
For residential deliveries that are signature required:
1. Our couriers will knock on the door as usual and step back two metres (or as far back as possible).
2. They will ask for the recipients name (to record proof of delivery) and leave the parcel on the ground in front of the receiver. The person receiving the parcel will not sign for the delivery directly.
3. The tracking information on our Post Haste portal website will display a clearly typed recipients name as well as the signature image reading CV-19 (all entered by the courier).
4. If no one comes to the door and there is no Authority to Leave service in place, the courier will follow the standard process which is to leave a card to call and return the parcel to our depot.
Other measures like above will possibly continue to arise and we appreciate your assistance and understanding during this time.
Please wash your hands thoroughly upon receipt of your packages. Through their journey, packages pass through a lot of hands and locations.Posted: Saturday 21 March 2020
