 Our stores are open, however you may see some changes in the way we operate, to meet the guidelines set out within the framework of the Orange setting and meet all necessary health and safety guidelines. Please practice social distancing and wear a face covering. If you prefer our online store is open and we are safely packing and dispatching your orders following NZ Covid protocols. With the increased demand for online shopping and the extra safety measures we’ve got in place to keep our team safe, combined with the extra pressure on our courier partners, we ask that our customers please be patient. While we endeavour to keep this website up to date, there may be times when items are temporarily out of stock or no longer available. If this occurs we will advise you by email if/when the item will return to stock. You may at this time amend your order or cancel your order and we will refund your payment in full.

If you would like to change your personal details or have them removed from our mailing list or database, please contact us and we will amend/remove them immediately.


All our prices are in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of GST (unless otherwise stated)



We provide a speedy, safe and efficient delivery service anywhere in New Zealand. We send your parcel via a tracked (signature required) courier service and standard delivery is 3-5 working days, although once your parcel leaves us we cannot guarantee this. Rural Delivery may take an extra day. Our Couriers do not deliver to P O Boxes. Please enter any special delivery instructions in our 'comments' box on the check out page so that we can ensure the courier company has accurate information about the safe delivery of your parcel. If your parcel has not arrived after 5 working days, please make sure you contact us so we are able to track it for you. All orders will be processed on receipt of cleared funds,  

National urban shipping cost is $7 anywhere in New Zealand. Oversize items may incur extra shipping costs, this will be stated on the item description.

Rural Delivery Courier cost is $12.00.

Our domestic and international couriers do not deliver to a P O Box so please provide an appropriate delivery address.

ALL National orders over $249 receive free delivery anywhere in New Zealand.

We process orders Monday to Friday, excluding NZ public Holidays. If you require any other delivery method, please contact us for a quote. If your item is being sourced from an overseas supplier this will take extra time and these items are noted with a 7-14 day delivery time.

You will receive an email confirming your order, and another email once your order has been dispatched.

International orders are welcome. Please contact us for a shipping quote before placing your order.

Delivery times may vary during peak season time eg November and December orders up to Christmas.

Click and Collect delivery option is only available if the item is located in the collection store otherwise a stock transfer fee will apply. 

PRESALE/PREORDER items will be shipped upon arrival.  Orders received with a preorder item will be shipped when the preorder item is in stock. Please place separate orders if you are not wanting to wait for the order to ship in full.

Any customer cancelled preorder/order items paid by Afterpay, Laybuy or Paypal will incur a processing fee as charged to us by those companies. This is usually up to 5% of the transaction total. 


Returns will not be accepted without prior approval being given. If you choose to send your item without prior approval it may be returned to you.

If you find your purchase does not fit upon it's arrival you may return the item within 7 days of purchase for exchange or store credit. The item must be unused and in the original packaging if returned with all tags still attached. The item must be returned to us at your cost. Please note if you choose to return your item using an untracked postal/courier service, then we are unable to take responsibility if the returned item does not reach us. We are unable to exchange any item that has been worn or shows any visible wear or damage or is received without tags attached or with tags removed.  Shoe boxes must also be returned intact. An additional courier fee for sending out the exchange will apply. Exchanges will always be subject to availability. We will contact you if your exchange choice is not available to offer another choice or advise when/if your choice will be available.

Items on Sales, Clearance and Last Chance may not be returned so please choose your size carefully.

Exchanges and store credits will be processed less our shipping rate, applicable on all orders.

If you choose to use the Laybuy or Afterpay payment gateways any refund will be less a 4.75% restocking fee. 

Please note due to hygiene issues all makeup, earrings, face masks and undergarments may not be returned so please choose your item carefully. This includes petticoats, underwear, pettipants and swimwear.  

A restocking fee of $15 for all returns may apply. 

Cancelled orders will incur a 4.75% restocking fee to cover fees already incurred during processing of the order.

All custom or special orders are non returnable.

If an item is faulty we will met our obligations under The Consumers Guarantees Act.


All purchases in store are final. We do not refund or exchange if you change your mind. If an item is faulty we will met our obligations under The Consumers Guarantees Act.

Items purchased at events and at pop up shops are deemed to be in store purchases subject to the above. 


19 Black does not hold credit card details on our server or anywhere on our premises. We use PayPal and Paymark technology for secure online credit card processing. For information visit and Your personal and credit card information is safe and cannot be accessed by anyone other than intended users. Your credit card details are processed in real time by an independent payment gateway authorised by our bank, using secure encryption.

We also accept direct credit payments to our bank account. 

Card payments must be made at the time of placing the order and Bank Deposit must be received within 3 working days. If payment is not received within these time frames your order may be cancelled.

Crime prevention cameras are in operation in our store.

We record images of all people entering our store.  These will be used for security purposes, including reporting crimes to the Police. We will also publish images of people who steal or commit other crimes on our premises.
